Dr. Kay Lim, DMA
Native of South Korea, Kyeongmi Kay Lim is a solo pianist, collaborative pianist
and music educator. Dr. Lim has won many prizes in competitions such as The
Music Education News Competition, Namyangju Symphony Orchestra Music
Competition, Camerata Artists International Competition, Luciana Montanari
Mendola Awards, Howard County Rising Stars Competition and more.

Dr. Lim has performed at the 76th Chosun Newspaper Debut Concert in Seoul, Bruno
Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center in New York, Halle University in Germany,
Hochschule für Musik Köln in Wuppertal, Klosterneuburg in Austria, Italian Culture
Society in Washington DC and more. She has appeared as a soloist with Euroasia
Music Festival Orchestra, Moldova Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra of
The University of Alicante in Italy and more.

She received her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the Catholic
University of America, a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at the
Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. She also received her Master of
Music in Piano Performance and Bachelor of Music at Sangmyung University. She
has studied with Jeewon Park, Alexander Shtarkman and Ivo Kaltchev.

Dr. Lim joined the piano faculty at the Washington Adventist University in August
2023. She currently teaches in the Maryland and Washington DC area. Dr. Lim
serves as a collaborative pianist in many organizations.
